I want to THANK the Flex team for adding the RF Gain setting indication on the front screen so we don't have to always go into the ANT tab to see where its set....

It doesn't display anything unless you set the RF gain to either a - or + value.
You change it with the ANT button.

Ok, still don't see it. BUT, the RF gain control on the Ant tab, seems to only go
all the way to the left or all the way to the right. No fine adjustment at all. Or at
least I haven't found a way to get the slider to drag back and forth. And while we
are talking about things like that, I wish FRS would put more Tooltips on the controls.
I have yet to find on labeled AGC-T. Yet, a lot of people keep talking about it. What
I'm "assuming" is the AGC-T slider is to the right of the AGC selection box. (off, slow,
med, and fast) That seems to work similar to the AGC-T slider on PowerSDR.

Hello all,  I , and maybe others, asked Flex for some indication of the RF Gain setting without going into the ANT tab every time; because as you bring up different bands the RF Gain preset may have changed and if you're looking at a 80m for instance and have a 6m slice open you may have the RF Gain set at +20 or +30, which could cause overload problems on some bands at night....  So now we don't have to wonder where the RF Gain is set.  The screen shows an indication if its not set at ZERO....  Thanks again Flex!  (by the way, I have seen no signs of overload with my 6500 when the gain is set high, I just get nerves.)  Dennis, k0eoo

Hello James,

The RF Gain I'm referring to is a fixed gain amplifier (some may call it a preselector) attenuater -10dB or +10dB or +20dB in the 6500 and an additional +30dB in the 6700.  I think an explanation can be found in the 6000 series hardware and software manuals available on the Flex web sight.

Also the AGC-T is referring to the AGC threshold setting slider next to the AGC delay time selector shown in the attached picture.  This is also discussed in the manuals...  Hope this helps.  Dennis, k0eoo

its the agc-t slider just above the NR and APF buttoms in the radio controls side bar. same as clicking on the speaker on the main control panel ajacent to the frequency line.
