Using Flex 6500, SSDR V2, Maestro  Could someone set out clearly how to combine a Maestro and computer operating remotely using Smartlink.  I have Smartlink operating ok but need to know how to interface such as a notebook computer with the Maestro to operate N1MM+ for CW contest work.  ie how to key the Maestro from N1MM on the computer and acquire frequency information for the log.

Either remote desktop to a shack pc or vpn to the network the radio is on. You do not need to network your laptop and maestro - you need to network your base radio and laptop.

Mal,

You will use both the PC and the Maestro remotely.  No remote Desktop, no VPN.  It will all be done via SmartLink.

You will use the Maestro to control the radio.

You will load SmartSDR for Windows on the PC so that it installs SmartSDR CAT.  You will not run SmartSDR for Windows on the PC (you can't in this scenario because only one application that controls the radio can be running at one time and that is the Maestro).

You will run N1MM on the PC.  You will also run SmartSDR CATon the PC too.  SmartSDR CAT is SmartLink capable (meaning it works over the same remote link to access the radio), so you configure CAT to access N1MM.

Many thanks for responses.  I will set it up and try it all out.    On another point relating to remote using the Maestro when will the CW sidetone quality be made a proper T9 like on the main 6x00 as it is annoying to listen to.
