Remote cw keying via wireless LAN?

Its been a while since we moved and I still need to get a new Flex6300 and set it up on my new local LAN.  The radio, antennas etc will all be in the storage space over the garage (Pixel loop and Par HF Omniangle)  The F6300 will be connected to the Den Router via the wireless Ethernet adapter I had successfully used before at the old QTH.  Audio was brought down using DAX.   However, there has since been a few updates to SSDR and I was wondering if I will now be able to key the rig with my cw paddles from the Den SSDR Computer or even use a headset for SSB . ( A good PC Headset for this use is for another topic :-))

Hi Larry,
Nothing has been announced yet about the timing for remote CW but per Steve H. they have plans to implement remote paddle keying at some point.   The implies that it would be via the API  (CAT is a possibility also but seems to be unlikely given the FRS preference to not extend that interface).   Obviously a hardware connection between the remote PC and the accessory connector on the radio is not possible.  So it will be a software connection in some form.

More discussion on the remote paddle option here and you can still add your vote to support the idea if you would like:

The question is whether support for remote paddle keying will show up in V1.4 or V1.5 or V2.0 or some later release.  So it could be months (or years) from now.    Maybe it will show up on the road map at some point.
