Remote AC switch

Sorry for asking what is likely an obvious question, but I am setting up my remote station and have a question abourt remote switching the power to the Flex. . I had planned on using a Digital Loggers AC switch to remote power on and off the 6600. I take it there is no issue wiring a RCA plug from the open and common terminals to the RCA jack on the 6600 to turn the unit on and off? I believe others are doing this, bui in the back of my mind I seemed to recall a power limit on the jack? 73 Tim VE6SH imageimage

there is more simple RCA remote socket at the back allows to turn on and off the Flex6000. Simply touch the tip in the ring and the flex puts it to work to close it again the same thing

Tim, I use the same setup.  This works fine with my IP power ****.  The rca jack must be shorted for the radio to turn on.  Jean has this wrong.

The jack must be shorted the whole time or the radio will shut off.

This is what I use. I think there are slightly more elegant solutions available now, but this one works for me.
