Receive signals?

There are a few stations I talk to that I know should be very clean,,but at times they show feathers, a dirty signal. I don't know if they are really dirty or is there something wrong at my end? This can happen during a conversation. Is there a setting causing this?

If weighted averaging is turned off on the spectrum display, which is only really useful for weak signal work, what you are seeing on the display are most likely real signals.

Have him submit a HelpDesk support ticket rather than calling.  It is the fastest and primary way to receive support.
