Radio remains keyed if slice closed during TUNE

While using the TUNE feature to output a carrier on Slice A, I accidentally closed slice A. (don't ask what possessed me to do that, I couldn't tell you).  The result was the the radio remained keyed and transmitting a carrier.  Clicking TUNE did not **** the carrier. 

I added another slice which replaced Slice A (I had a Slice B open) and clicked tune and the radio remained keyed.  I was finally able to **** the carrier by clicking the MOX button.  This however left the radio in an awkward state where the Tune Button was still Blue.

With a dummy load attached I have been able to recreate the problem. I also observed the following:
If only one slice (Slice A) is open and I click Tune and close the Slice A, I can open a new Slice A (which does not open on the frequency of the transmitted carrier) and click the TUNE button the radio stops transmitting.  However, the radio is now in a "confused" state Where Slice A shows as being the selected TX slice, however the status bar down by the GPS Status and Clock  shows TX Not Selected.  Clicking TX on Slice A (Two clicks), restores the radio to operational status.
