QST Review - NF Error?

Looking at the Noise Figures posted in the 6500 QST Product Review, I'm struck by the values 27/21/11 dB (preamp off/1/2). Surely that's incorrect. Anyone have a lead on the real values?

I'm curious if the 6500's noise figures they quoted were different from QST's review of the 6700 in April 2015?

29/23/12/7 for the 6700 in 2015's review. I suspect this measurement and what I was expecting are two different things. Time to go learn something...0

Noise figures at HF are not that critical. Go to the ARRL website
and you'll see similar numbers on any of the HF transceivers.
Atmospheric noise and what not usually override the noise floor
of the receiver.

Quite true. My interest in this topic was regarding 50 MHz performance. I've seen some other rigs' reviews with lower published NF values, and wonder if the methodology or results are different for an SDR.0

On my 6500 used a Down East Micro 20db preamp on 6M to assure a low NF.0

I have an ARR preamp on the RXA loop for 6m. Definitely lower noise, as one would expect.0
