The attached is a view of 20m band with my beam South. This pattern repeats every 10-15 seconds. It does not change freq. , just pops on then off across the entire band in this sequence. It is is only in the one direction. Anyone seen this pattern ? Thanksimage

Barry, can you give us any further information? Any other band? Time of day?  Does it vary if you rotate your beam? Does it disappear if you disconnect the antenna? 73, Jim

As noted only in the south beam heading.. Does not occur all the time noticed late in day. . I operate 20 mainly. Not noticed on any other band. Very sharply disappears as beam moves off south. That could mean a very local noise pulse . Only street lights are above ground as all power is underground here. Street light ballasts firing ?.... I know they did install mercury vapor lighting recently... Hmmmm.

Sounds like you are on to something.   I'd check the noise as the street lighting comes on.   Years ago I was on a first name basis with the folks at our power company over noise from arc supressors, insulators, birds n such stuck on wires. You might try them. 73, Jim
