I currently rum my 6700 on the LAN at home but now configuring it to run remote.  At home I can push the power button and after the rig does its shut down routine, I turn off the power supply.... When remote I can turn off the power supply and thus kill the rig or leave the power supply on and open the plug on the back of the rig... either of these do not allow the rig to run its shutdown program....is this an issue or is there a better way to shut down the6700 when remote??

Tnx, Bruce AH0U

Bruce.  The best practice is to have a remote switch on the power supply and one to control the REM ON connector.  In general, you want to use the REM ON to power up and down the radio, but having a switch on the power supply provides a full kill switch if needed.
