I'm new to SSDR / Flex 6600 . I'm having a problem getting Winkey USB to connect with N1MM and SSDR CAT . I've used Winkey /N1MM on a different computer / Radio without issue ! Connect the Winkey USB cable into the computer created (USB Serial Port COM8)  In SSDR Cat V2,3.9 I click Add  select (Existing) then select Com 8 / winkey and save . This gives me a error Message (Access to the port com8 is denied)  I've tried other ports and all are denied . OS is W7 ... Sending a screenshot, I know I'm leaving out needed information , please ask .

Thanks Edimage

Leave SmartSDR and SmartSDR CAT out of it. It has nothing to do with making WinKey USB work with N1MM. Start N1MM and set up the WinKey as you would were the Flex not involved. Then connect the key line out of the WinKey to either the front-panel key jack (be sure to set the jack for straight key input, not a paddle) or the ACC connector on the back panel. See the hardware reference manual for the proper pins.

I should note that CWX in the Flex offers a WinKey emulator, and this is where  you use CAT, to set up a WinKey emulator port, which can also be connected to N1MM. However, from personal experience, I think you will be much happier with the real WinKey.
