Preamp gain control not centered ....

Most likely already reported, but my wife walks into the shack and says 'How come the little dot isn't centered in the cradle?'.  I had the ANT menu active and she was referencing the RF gain slider. Other sliders are centered.

v2.0.19.98, Microsoft Surface Pro 4, Windows 10 Pro 10.0.14393

Just curious ...

Depends on the radio and where you have the preamp set. Some radios have more gain steps than other radios.

When it is in the "cradle" the preamp is set for 0 dB (no gain, no attenuation).

On my 6500 it can be to the left (10 dB attenuation). Center (no gain), one step left (+10 dB gain) or two steps left (+20 dB gain).

Flex 6500. When at the 0 gain position the ball is not centered in the cradle. It is a display issue only.

Not sure why.  You can export your profiles then reset the radio and import the profiles to see if it fixes the issue.

Here is my 6500 at 0 dB gain

Yep ... the ball is not centered correctly as it is with other sliders.

This is a cosmetic issue (lowest priority) and it in the bug tracker to be addressed in the future.  For reference, we expend our software development resources on the higher priority issues first.

Highest or lowest priority, I am sure that Flex Radio appreciates users reporting all issues that detract from the highest level of performance and aesthetics.

I never found it to be a distraction. Also different model radios have different amount of steps. The new radios will have more steps.

Example, the 6600m is supposed to go from -8 to +32 in 8 dB steps. That is one step left of zero ("cradle"), zero, and 4 steps to the right. If the "cradle (0) were centered (left to right)  it would not look correct.

Personally I am ok with it as is. As long as 0 dB is within the brackets for quick visual reference.
