As stated previously, we do plan to implement pre-distortion but it falls behind LAN & WAN networking in priority.  We agree that the feature has value and will implement it when it comes up in the priority queue.  It is premature to put it on the road map because we want to make sure we meet all our currently published commitments.  Note that we are the first and only Ham Radio company we know of to publish a public software road map.

I'll go Gerald one better. In over 40 years of working for software companies, FRS was the only one TO publish an external roadmap for their development plans. Too many things can change a plan. That's not to say there weren't internal plans, ya gotta give product something to do for a living. I believe, subsequent to what Bill copy/pasted Gerald had said they aren't publishing road maps any more, which is smart. Product should listen to customers, not promise them anything. The development team(s) decide what gets put where. There are never any external commitments.

I don't know why people keep asking.
