Only on 20 meters, I have the word "PRE" (in grey) upper right on the screen, in normal SSB receive mode. What is that?

Flex 6300, V1.3, Win 8.1

thanks, W7EJT

It means that you have the preamp on.....I believe it is set default on from 20 meters and higher. if you click ANT on the menu bar on the left side of your screen, you can set it there... Hope this is what you are meaning...

OK, thanks. I was thinking "preamp", but not familiar on how to access it (didn't know it was there). I just had never noticed this before. I'll check out your suggestion. thanks, again.

This was an add on to 1.3 .... It just tells you if its on or not.... If you go to 75 meters and set the att it will also show ATT in the upper right hand of the screen...

In version 1.3 with the Flex 6300, moving the RF Gain slider to the right displays "ATTN" on 75 meters where "PRE" was shown on 20.
