Either that or they're stuck in customs. :)
(I know about as much as you do)

All units are fully tested on full power, all bands in SO2R mode for 12 hours. Our new test software makes it easy as the process is now fully automated. Final test includes calibration check and adjustment as well as detailed technical test report for each unit.
Note: Units on photo are without Top cover

Wouldn't be surprised if an order placed now would have that 100+ day build time though.
I keep thinking of the lyrics from "The Boxer" when I see posts dismissive of FRS actual direct communications - that line "Still a man hears what he wants to hear
And disregards the rest..."
I'd venture that we will be hearing more PG XLs on the air fairly soon, and not just the Advisory Team's or Alpha Team's using them.
With no FRS announcement to the contrary, the new radios appear to be on schedule.
But as they say "the proof is in the puddin' " so with eager anticipation let's watch, wait and see!

In the case of the amps, it is important that the amp is NOT a Flex product; it is built by a third party and marketed/sold as an amp for everyone, not just Flex. So it is quite useful to understand the size of the first run.

Without knowing home many production lots are in the pipeline and their relative spacing what does lot size do for us either as an end user, or if we were the one being asked?
As without knowing what the overall volume and forward build plans both are, what could it tells us if they did answer?
Then unless a person knew where their order was in sequence, and knew how many who ordered before us deferred delivery or perhaps dropped out, they wouldn't be able to predict when their order would look to ship.
Some milestones dates that might be useful to know is what is the anticipated lead on new orders and when would FRS project to have uncommitted inventory available?
Being keenly interested is an awesome thing, but in my case my interest will peak up when FRS asks for payment. Each person will see it differently, and there is no harm in asking, though I personally have enough doubts about hypothetically answering the questions if roles were reversed with FRS that we perhaps cannot expect much.

As far as the amp being a FlexRadio product - yes it is made by 4O3A. But in many respects it is a FlexRadio optimized product. The LAN integration works best with FlexRadio. Think of it like an icom PW1 - it will work with any radio but works best with Icom.

Next I was told by FRS that I would have mine this year in December. Unless they tell me directly that I am not I hold them to that timeline.

Your statement quoted below is incorrect. I will give a more detailed response in response to your following post.
I just heard that both the PowerGenius XL and Flex 6600M will not go out until April!!!! This comes directly from someone who ordered today and he said this not just for new orders but for all orders.

Finally my friend who just reserved a 6600M and reserved a PGXL earlier said that the amplifiers are coming out in lots of 10. I was told by FRS that the reservation were nearing 1000. Do the math. He was also told that parts availability is still an issue.
The point I am making is that FRS should keep us apprised of the moving delivery date and we should not hear it from someone who just made the purchase. Yes.... it was about the first articles not the one he reserved today. In fact he reserved his amplifier ta HAMCON so he was not concerned about later runs!

Guess we will have to wait and see.
BTW wasn’t Hamcon mid-September? Gerald had already gone into print that production run One was filled, production run Two was almost filled and they were planning production run Three - and that was first week of August.
The only place I ever saw a production lot size mentioned was for a single batch of pre-production PG XLs destined for Alpha Team and FRS use. I must have missed the batch size information for actual production units being announced.
I’m patient - when my Visa Card vibrates in my pocket, I’ll know it’ll be my time to watch for UPS....
All best and 73,
Steve

Your post is incorrect. On November 21st, we sent a detailed status of the FLEX-6400(M)/FLEX-6600(M) production status. Nothing has changed since that update was sent to all pre-order customers and posted on this forum a week ago.
Also, we do not give information on production build quantities, lot sizes, or shipment rates for competitive reasons so your numbers are not based on any facts from FlexRadio.
PowerGenius XL is in production and has shipped a few weeks ago to a sizable number of beta customers so we can complete final software integration testing. Many stations operated the amplifier in the Sweepstakes and CQWW CW contests over the last two weeks with much success. We are in the process of expanding the number of customers testing outside of those who use FlexRadio to verify integration with other radios. Once we are comfortable that we have worked through any reported issues, we will begin shipments to general release customers. Meanwhile, production is in full swing so that we can commence general shipment flow when that testing is complete.
Bill, sales reviewed the information sent you you regarding your order and to the best of our current knowledge, it is still correct.

Gerald

I never received the November 21st email. Can you point me to it on this website?
I will be looking for the 6600M next month and the Power Genius XL in the first quarter of 2018.
