Power Button Popped Off It's Stem

The power button popped off its little stem. Is there a way to insure this doesn't happen again? I'm sure a dab of hot glue is not the recommended solution. I was fumbling for the button in the dark last night and couldn't find it. I turned on the desk light and lo and behold, the button had popped off.

Probably nothing. But, I don't want to do anything that might void my warranty or degrade the resale value.

Same thing happened to my 6300 within a week. I've been using it without the button for a long time. Ugly.

Frankly, I wouldn't start glueing sh...stuff that wasn't already glued. It may well need to be removable for a reason. Ask.the manufacturer.

Philip - The 6000 power button is a snap-on type button, so using hot melt glue would probably make a mess of things.  I recommend that you take a flashlight and look at the button stem, as it has notches that need to align with the inside of the button.  Once it is aligned properly, press the button back on.  Don't be afraid to use a little pressure to snap it back into place.  If this does not work, then open a HelpDesk ticket so we can get this issue resolved.

What timing for this Power Button post...  The same thing happened to me with the F6700 at the Remote site today..   Just followed Tims suggestion above to reinstall the power button...  seems ok now for what little use it gets.  Surprising it would even happen.
