Can't quite figure out what those green circle areas are on the front panel. Am I looking through vent holes and seeing something green inside or what? Pictures are not clear. Thanks.

I believe you are referring the reflections of the LEDs on the grate inside the amp. In Orlando, they were set to change to red when the amp was keyed.

I didn't know Borg cubes had flux capacitors. I thought they were limited to DeLoreans.

I thought resistance was voltage divide by current?

It’s also the message conveyed by my XYL’s frown whenever I suggest another addition to the shack.

Good idea Dan.  But I'll have to be careful not to make her too suspicious.  (-:

Flux Capacitor!  Cool!!  What happens when you drive the amp with 88 watts?

At 88 gigawatts, a tear in the space-time continuum occurs where you work all DXCC entities, on all bands, using all modes simultaneously and receive both paper QSLs and EQSLs instantaneously.  The wallpaper from the ARRL still takes months to get to you though.

Resistance is exponentially less if you add a bathroom renovation coefficient into the equation.

It's groovy disco lights to dance to the beat :)

Actually it's just a led status indicator that glows inside the amp to show status. Green - rx, red - tx, amber - updating

The unit that was shown at Dayton was changed quite a bit from the one that was shown at Orlando.  The chassis was an enclosed unit and the LED was a much larger one.  In fact SDR spoke aobut he much more "solid" housing.  So, not sure if we will see the "Dancing LED"s" or just the indications on the Larger LED Panel on the front panel.

You'll see the same call of duty lighting. :)

I am growing to like it now, but the amp will probably end up with the transceiver in a rack on the far side of the room sooner rather than later.

The newer design does look a lot better than the prototype shown in Orlando or the one on Gerald's YouTube demo. The Larger screen and carry handle built in.

How do you do band changes with an older transceiver, from the Windows app?

Windows app?

The PGXL has CI-V and serial communications for CAT and a BCD port for Yaesu radios.  If the radio is a FLEX-6000, you just connect the amp to the same IP network as the radio using the Ethernet port.

You may want to download the product brochure from the website for additional information

I believe that it can automatically detect the frequency with a built in frequency counter and do band changes automatically.

Hi Tim,  I was referring to the downloadable Windows Application Control illustrated on page 3 of the brochure I picked up at Xenia.

Ria,  Thanks - that would make the amp work with any legacy rig, although my intent would be for the 6700 to be the main driver.

Got it.  Band data comes from the exciter input into the amp through one of the 4 different types of interfaces.

Hi Keith, I thought you meant legacy transceiver when you meant "older transceiver."

Tim W4TME,  It would be nice if Flex could update the Brochure to show the New Front Panel layout rather than some Lab Queen that does not represent anything close to the Shipping Product.
