Has Power Genius received CE certification yet?  If so then can we assume some amps will be allotted for pre-order in Canada?  If not is there a estimated date of CE approval?

My understanding is that it has FCC approval hence for sale only in the US and pre-orders being taken. I was told sometime after FCC approval that CE approval is pending so it can be sold in Canada. Until it is certified and cannot be sold in Canada. So what your saying is that every Power Genius including those being sold only in the US must be CE certified as well or it doesn't get shipped? That being the case the question still stands, is it CE certified or is it expected to be certified by the time production is underway?

Mike i cant answer your question.

Only: CE is not a approval like FCC. Every manufacterer place the CE sign on his product. If he do this he confirm that he had all done what is needed to follow the CE rules. He have not to send a device to any labratory for any check. It's a declartion:

... from Internet:
CE demonstrates compliance with requirements to ensure
Health, safety and environmental protection.

CE is a symbol of EU thinking:
The manufacturer is permanently responsible for its product,
The legislator only sets the framework.

That is correct and it is very a very simple procedure to carry out since its mainly about documentary evidence, components used will already have CE.

Thanks for the clarification Tim as this is from:

Reservations are currently only available within the US. Once CE certifications are completed reservations will be made available through your local distributor.
Again, I was told CE is not just EU but Canada as well.

Mike -- Canada accepts both FCC for RF stuff approval and UL for mains powered stuff. At least it did when I was involved years ago.

Happy 150th!
Cheers!

Yes. FCC standards are normally accepted in Canada.  See the second last page:
