Pops and snaps in Maestro audio after upgrade to 2.1.32

I upgraded to SSDR 2.1.32 and all is well except when accessing the Flex 6500 with the Maestro I notice random snaps and pops in the audio, whether transmitting or receiving. I manually uninstalled and reinstalled the DAX software and the audio from the PC is good, but the Maestro snaps did not change. Ideas?

Audio dropouts are usually indicative of a poor network connection (dropped packets).  What does the network Health monitor indicate?

I've noticed the same thing since going to 2.1.32, except I also get 'buzzes' -- more so than I had with 2.1.30.  I'm directly wired to the router which is directly wired to the Flex, so network Health monitor is green with full bars.

The health is excellent with RTT latency about 2 or 3 ms. However the latency jumps up to 30 or 40 ms when I change the RX frequency. No packet loss shown. This is using a  5GHz link. I am now trying with 2.4 to see if 5 is causing the problem. Apparently that was it. After changing to 2.4 all was OK and then back to 5 and all is OK there, too! Thanks for the info.

Well I was wrong. The pops happen on both WIFI connections. I tried a wired connection and am still getting the pops.

I am getting this also on my 6600 with 2.1.32. A lot of pops , "buzzes" mostly on CW. This is especially noticeable when tuning around the band with a lot of strong signals, like the current ARRL CW DX contest. It also appears that when I disable transmit on the CW slice, the problem mostly goes away.  I am using a LAN wired connection, and network status is displayed as excellent with zero dropped packets

I am still on 2.1.30 with a Maestro and remote 6700 but I too have noticed lots of pops and crackles (more than ever before) since the Contest.  I should note that I am mostly a CW op and this became most noticeable during the recent ARRL CW Contest.   I turned off all DSP settings to see if that mattered but there was no change.  I did have Skimmer running all this time but a reboot of DAX and a restart of Skimmer made no difference here.  Never tried shutting off the TX side of the active slice since i only was RXing the entire time.  Win 7 Maestro/radio 2.1.30.   I switched from the Maestro to connecting via SSDR for a while but still lots of pops and crackles.  Radio and Maestro both connected to FTTH links with ethernet cabling.   Casual cw operating with no Contest running I did notice an occasional pop/crackle but with all the CW activity it seems almost constant.
