I've followed the instructions as best as I could understand them.
But I keep getting emails from FlexRadio Systems.
At the bottom of the email it says to STOP receiving notifications....CLICK HERE.
I do, I have done, a number of times and the emails keep coming.
I'm retiring from Ham Radio, please remove me from any and all Flex mailing lists.

When you click that it will stop sending notifications about that specific topic. If you have subscribed to or responded to other topics you will receive notifications from them.

Bill, I don't think one can be removed from the list as, the way I recall Tim explaining it, you are not signed up for the flex community so much as you are signed up as a getSat member that happens to belong to the Flex community.

Go you your profile (home page, click your top right icon and select edit profile.

Under emails and notifications, uncheck all the boxes and the emails and notifications will stop.

Good luck going forward. You'll be missed.

Go into your Profile inside Get Satisfaction.

That will open a window, click on View Profile

Inside your Profile select Email & Notifications

You can then remove the notifications or remove the email and account completely.

I hope that helps.

The ethical thing IMO is always to give people an easy way to unsubscribe from a service like this.

It's not clear that Salvadore's process really removes your profile from the system.  It seems to just stop emails coming to you.

There is yet another thing you can do.  Go to your profile -> profile Information page and use the "close your user profile" option. The page says "This will de-activate your personal user account only and will not affect your community account."  What does that mean?

This is not good.

@Martin, I am not sure my method is the easiest... I was just trying to help Bill out. There could be a faster and easier way.

@Martin, ditto for me. I thought Tim, at one point, said one had to just unsubscribe to the torrential downpour of every last nonsensical post one chooses to make. Of course, that response could have been time dependent. For instance, I am still able to converse but I don't see the <questionable influx> of forum email in my inbox.

Unsubscribing from the email reflector doesn't affect the ability to read and post here on the community.  I've never subscribed to the email, as I get way too much already...non-Flex related, of course.  It's just like the Yahoo Groups.  I'm a member of a couple dozen of those, but get email from none of them because I choose not to.

If I'm going to subscribe to something I go get a google, microsoft etc... email address and then just abandon it if i want to stop. If you have your own domain somewhere you cans set up lots of email addresses and just stop monitoring them.
