hi all i have a flex 3000 but my PC does not support a PCI slot on the motherboard but it does have 2 PCI express slots would my flex 3000 work with a PCI express fire wire card??

Yes indeed, although the same conditions apply (get a good name brand card with a TI chipset, I recommend SIIG cards especially).

I had to go and look through my purchase history, but I found it.

I used http://amzn.com/B000G6U8VY card for my Flex 3000, and later my 5000. It worked quite well.

Thank you all for your replies, today (Wednesday) I managed to get hold of a silicon labs PCI-express card with the TI chipset and am pleased to report it does the job well
