panadapter vs panafall

Why does the FlexAPI have panadapter and panafall instead of panadapter and waterfall?

My current issue is setting the FPS properties of a panadapter and a waterfall. Looking at the C# code, Panadapter.FPS calls "display pan set ..." and Waterfall.FPS calls "display panf set ..." It seems that the panf set sets the FPS for both the waterfall. How do you set different FPS for the panadapter and waterfall?

Under Panafall, I see a property FallLineDurationMS, but it isn't documented in the Wiki.

Thinking the Waterfall vs Panafall is really two names for the same thing.

If memory serves right, FRS started using panafall in the PowerSDR software with the style of "PanaFall™"

That may have been a bit awkward as PowerSDR ended up as the basis for other manufacturer's hardware while retaining features that FRS had Trademarked.

So the naming convention may be legacy from those now vintage days.
