I woke up at 2:30 Tuesday and couldn't get back to sleep so I fired up the Flex. I'm really glad I did because a short time later on 30 meters I saw VK0AI on Macquarie Island. He was working a lot of JA's and after calling him a few times he got back to me.
According to DXNews Norbert is using just 5 watts to a vertical for FT8 (I am also using a vertical). Macquarie Island is Clublog's #11 Most Wanted and 9,835 miles from my QTH in upstate NY.

Here's more info about VK0AI including a picture of his antenna

I'm not sure I would have heard him if not for the great 6700 receiver.
Norbert confirmed in eQSL within minutes and LOTW within 2 days

While I have concerns with how some issues are addressed I still feel that the 6700 is the best rig on the market.

Your post reminds me of the one word description I gave the the receiver performance of my 6700, when I first turned it on four and a half years ago - Sensational.
Nothing has changed over the intervening years.
