Out of band problem with JT65

When trying to use JT65 on 60m (channel 3), my 6300 says I am out of band.  I had the frequency set at 5358.5 (the rules say I need to be 1.5kHz above 5357).  I tried moving the frequency up and down a bit but I still got the out of band indication when I hovered over the tune button.
I have NO problem operating CW on 5358.5 so, how do I get the radio to allow me to transmit JT65?

What was your bandwidth set to? I suspect it was set to larger than the frequency allocation. Even though your actual transmission may be smaller than the selected bandwidth it is likely causing the issue. The test is to narrow the bandwidth and give it a try.

BINGO!!  Narrowing the bandwidth did the trick.
