I am still an enthusiastic noob to the Flex 6400M and totally pleased with the rig.  One issue I have maybe 3 times a month is that I'll fire up SmartSDR and the rig, and DAX won't show audio despite my settings being correct and saved to Profiles.  This drove me nuts my first month.  The solution was very simple: simply reset my WiFi router i.e. unplug it and re-plug it.  Apparently it periodically gets/got messed up -- and not by the rig either--sometimes this happened right when I was firing up the rig before even transmitting.  My son tried to explain what was happening to me but I won't go into it here.  Anyway, resetting the router works every time.

TU Roger, I have found my router or ISP looses the DNS look up and your resetting does the trick as well.

Roger,

Look at the Digital Loggers Inc Web Power Switch (Version 7 )
If your Router/Modem can not see outside Internet, it reboots
your Router automatically for you and checks your Ethernet
Conectivity for you with an Auto-Ping

For Remote control up to Eight Outputs (AC) or DC with DLI relay
as well remotely via the WAN and LAN connections

Control Power, Reset, Remote to Flex, Antenna Switching in my Shack
via the WAN 1000's miles aways from my shack

73 Mike

No more need to manually reset anymore !

Have two installed and they are great-  Use one for UPS powered devices and one for Non UPS power.

Good info by everyone.  It just never dawned on me that resetting the router would do anything since I had communication with the radio and with my internet modem.  But it has worked every time since I stumbled into that solution.  Just wanted to share.
