no audio inputs in sound manager win 10

i have a Flex 3000 which has been working fine with windows 10 for quite some time now. recently disconnected all radio and computer gear to rearrange the shack. On re_installing everything then an issue has appeared.
Everything looks OK, the flex boots up OK, but i am getting no audio out of the computer. i can see the Flex as a device in the volume mixer but in the sound setting there are no input devices found. i have looked at the microphone privacy settings and tried them every which way you can. i have uninstalled all Flex and driver software and device drivers numerous times and nothing is working. Speakers work OK on system sounds and you tube videos etc, watched lots looking for a cure. if required i can grab screen shots if it will help some one diagnose this issue. trouble is is it Flex output or sound card input or output, any suggestions on test to preform would be gratefully received.

VAC audio is lost. Are you running vac audio? Resequencing on startup has been shuffled by windows. Firewire is okay?

In Psdr the vac portion may have disabled itself.. Check under settings.

i have been running VAC audio for digital modes but not at the moment. When the issue first surfaced i could hear audio using VAC but not with it off. I should be able to hear audio without VAC anyway, shouldn't I.
