I really enjoy the North American QSO Party events. They seem a lot more relaxed than DX contests and, being limited to 100 watts, it pretty much makes everyone a big gun.

This weekend's RTTY contest was a blast. Propagation was decent and participation seemed high. I was able to work both S&P and Run effectively which I usually can't do in most DX style contests. I logged a little over 300 contacts on 80/40/20 with 80 being the most productive.

Everything about the radio and N1MM+ worked perfectly. I had a little bit of a panic when I grabbed the wrong macro and the radio wouldn't key. {TX} and {RX} were missing from the macros. After that it was all smooth sailing. While limited to 100 watts I ran the KPA500 at 100 and the radio was running around 5 watts I think. I never heard any of the fans come on.

As usual, lots of fun just running through the waterfall clicking on signals, working them and moving on. I think I finally got the hang of ESM in N1MM+.

Hope everyone had fun doing what they do this weekend.
