N2LRB 1500 to KXPA100

I am planning to do the same thing as N2LRB, I'm wondering if N2LRB has had any luck making the cable and if there are any other options.  I will make the cable if I have to, but if there is a commercial variant, I'd look at that as well.  Thanks in advance.

Jose (N2LRB) never found a commercial source for the cable.  He posted on Facebook over the weekend that he broke out the soldering iron and made the PTT cable for the amp and is making QSOs with it.

Many thanks Tim.  Just ordered the 1500 and will build the cable tonight. As soon as I get things figured out, I'll post my findings/method.

    Dave,
It was easier than I thought to do it. I already had some RCA cables (with a male ends). So I cut the RCA double male cable in half and soldered the center wire of the RCA  to pin 3 (PTT)  and the shield (wire mesh) to pin 1. I said a prayer and low and behold it worked!

    Hi Jose,

Very cool. Thanks so much for the info.  I'll give it a try as soon as I get the radio up and working- hopefully by the end of the week.  Hope to see you on the ether.  Best regards.
