My new wishlist - Icom AH-4 tuner compatibility

My new wish is for someone to figure a way to run an Icom AH-4 tuner with SSDR. The only thing I have seen is a control box with a manual tune switch that can be built. If someone could make an application that looks at the SWR when the TUNE button was engaged, and if the SWR was above a certain level, to close one of the extra PTT lines on the back of the radio to trigger a tune with the AH-4.

I've had the 6400 for a month now, and have gone through TWO SG-237 tuners....first one DOA, the second one worked great until the middle of the night on FD, then the SWR jumped to 44:1 (according to DDUTIL). It now won't tune anywhere. It's on its way back to HRO for a refund. (HRO has been terrific).

My old AH-4 tuner has been up for 10+ years, and tunes like a champ.

A guy can WISH, can't he?
