multi-channel audio (more than two)

My computer has 7.1 audio output and I can use multiple stereo speakers without buying a dedicated 7.1 speaker system. I just took another pair of PC speakers and plugged them into the rear speaker jack and selected quadraphonic output. At least using the setup software, I hear tones coming independently from each speaker. Is there a way to send audio from 4 separate slices to 4 speakers?

No; the radio is stereo only.  However, you can use the DSP software with your sound card to create a 3D soundstage effect from a stereo input signal.

The isolated receive audio from each slice is available via DAX though, and it looks like there's a way to use third party tools (such as Audio Repeater, which is a component of Virtual Audio Cables) to route each DAX channel to a particular speaker.

Sorry I can't be more specific right now - won't be at the shack until the weekend.
