Moving my 6500 from One Computer to Another

I have Smart SDR installed on my home computer here for use with my 6500.  I will soon head South and want to use the 6500 on a different computer there. It does not yet have SmartSDR installed yet.

My questions is, when I install SmartSDR on the new computer, do I need to be aware of extra steps to do/not do with respect to the radio calibration, etc?

Also, because I am a MARS member, will the new computer recognize that the radio has been opened up or are extra steps involved there?

If the computer has never had SSDR installed before, just install the latest version. You will need to define your virtual serial ports and configure your DAX properties on the new computer. Also remember to export and bring a copy of your profiles, just in case you need them... If you have a Dropbox or other shared cloud drive, you can simply save of to your cloud drive. As far as the MARS access, I defer to others.

MARS access is in the radio, not the the PC

An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu.
