Just so you folks are aware. My prestine Win7 system was just um 'upgraded' and SmartCAT refuses to start.  VSP is gone or broken

That upgrade was free, you know! Now you're running "the best Windows yet!"

Just count yourself lucky.

If it was upgraded to 10, right click the start button and choose Programs and Features. Scroll down to Flex Radio Systems FlexVSP. Right click and select repair. Reboot and try SmartSDR CAT.

My error, sorry. It was a system update not win10 upgrade. Routine maintenance.

If FlexVSP is not initializing I would use the procedure in the knowledge base to completely remove all remnants of Flex software and remove any ghosted com ports then reboot & reinstall.

You can try doing the repair of VSP first if you want. Been a LONG time since I ran Win7.

I only knew as SmartCAT failed to start. I no longer use SmartSDR. I also don't do digital anymore, which I am attempting to remedy.

Sorry SmartCAT got hosed. I hate OS updates. Those damn driver writers. You can never trust them.

Yeah...no, that won't happen.
