Thinking of running MSK144 during FD if 6m is slow. What is the maximum power I can run with my Flex 6500. Duty cycle is 15 seconds on and 15 seconds off.

I would assume it would be like any other digital mode... The flex has a thermal protection circuit so run 100 watts if you want.. just like WSJT-X

Sure others will correct me if I'm wrong

i run up to full power on that mode.
Just be sure that you are not over-driving the audio circuit.

(Adjust power level in WSJT-X or on the DAX TX slider to prevent going into the red.  Actually I run it just a notch or two under the red and get between 80-100 Watts out, depending upon the band.)

After a long digital session with my 6500, sometimes the cooling fan shifts to "hurricane mode" and moves a lot of air, noisily.  Most of the time, the fans on my 6500 are pretty quiet, if I keep them clean.

I run full power too and even on PSK31 and only on long winded exchanges does the fan go to high speed but other than that, no problems
