Matter of opinion: SSDR on WIN or Dogpark on Mac

I know in the end it's whatever works best for you, but I'd appreciate thoughts if you've used both and have a fovorite. My setup is a Mac Mini running Parallels so I can do either or both although I only have the demo Dogpark version loaded on the Mac side so far, with SSDR on WIN 10. The radio is a 6300. Any preferences, strong feelings, or suggestions?

Yes. Have both and also iOS version AND a Maestro.

Have found good reasons and comfort with all four.

Have the least QSOs with DogparkSDR so far, mostly because other station control software requires Windows.

I've learned that it isn't easy to get digital programs working on Mac but love the way dogpark software works flawlessly. I tried to get fldigi working and there seem to be 2 different 3rd party software choices to allow, you to route the audio stream correctly. Can't remember which one I used but it created real problems with the MIDI function which I must have working. I didn't bother to try the other software option because it was $100 making the choice to run my 6300 on a Mac would cost me $200 vs nothing on Windows. . I can't say I've not had problems with Win 7 and some aspects of SmartSDR especially SmartCAT. But I'll also, admit that I'm less experienced using Windows PCs compared to the decades I've been using Macs. Hope this helps.
