Maestro Screen Orientation

I was away for three months, and when I returned the Maestro had booted up due to a power outage, and the screen orientation was sideways.

Looked at some old posts, did a "reset" by holding down the power button until it was off including the button LEDs. Then removed power for a minute or so. Then applied power and it booted up fine.

But, every time that I turn it on now, it reverts to a sideways orientation ... Not good.

Am I missing something obvious?

We are investigating a software fix for this that should prevent the screen from changing orientation by 90 degrees.  The preliminary results are very encouraging.  However, it looks like that it may be in the June timeframe before it will be available in SmartSDR v2.3.

In the meantime, we have found a workaround.   If you do a forced shutdown of the Maestro, which is to press and hold the power button until the blue "shade" appears with the instructions to slide it down to shut down, continue holding the power button until the Maestro turns off.  Then do the power cycle (remove power from the unit) before starting up again and it should boot up in the correct screen orientation. You will have to shut down this way until we can push out the software fix.

I have experienced the same issue and am wondering about the status of a software fix?
