Maestro Panadapter Question

Dennis KF0QR
Dennis KF0QR Member ✭✭
I'm running a 6700 (v2.0.19) and a new Maestro (v. new as of today) and the only way I can get the second panadapter to show is to open a previous profile. With a single panadapter showing, presses the screen <Display, Up arrow, or Meters> does nothing to open these options.
Is this a setup error on my part or ???

I recommend reviewing the Maestro User Guide.  It is chocked full of good information.

To activate the 2nd panadapter tap the white chevron at the bottom center of the screen.

    Hi Tim,
That's the function that does not work. I can tap on that chevron until the cows come home, and nothing happens. The only way that I am able to get the 2nd panadapter is to go to menu, profiles, then choose a profile that was setup using SmartSDR for multiple (2) panadapters. The same problem exist with "<DISPLAY" and METERS>...tap, tap tap....no window opens.  Bottom of the touch screen seems dead!

Now a Problem. Tapping "chevron" to open second panadapter, "<DISPLAY", and/or "METERS" does not open these functions.

Further clarification and reply to Paul K3SF

    Hi Paul,

The problem is I can not get the second panadapter to “turn on”. It doesn’t make any difference if the single panadapter has one slice or both slices on, the display for the second panadapter does not open when tapping the “^” chevron at the bottom of the first panadapter. The only way I have been able to get the second panadapter to show on the Maestro is to load a profile that was created using SmartSDR and the 6700 that contained a setup with two panadapters. Once that profile is loaded I get two panadapters on the Maestro and the “<DISPLAY” and “>METERS” functions work and open their respective functions. These three buttons (DISPLAY, METERS, and now the “DOWN arrow chevron”) appear between the two panadapters. I can then move slice A and slice B back and forth between the two panadapters. BUT, as soon as I close the second (lower) panadapter using the “down arrow chevron”, I’m back in the same boat again, and I can’t open the second panadapter using the “^” chevron.   ARRRGH!!!!

    Thanks for the reply Paul.

    Tim,

You missed the point of my original question. I know how it's supposed to work, the question was why doesn't it work when I tap the "^" chevron???
