Maestro Invoice Received...Its getting Closer

I received my notice from Flex Radio that it is time to add on any accessories and pay the balance for my Maestro as they get ready to ship the product.

Looks like it won't be long now.  T-Minus 2 Weeks (or less) and counting!  WOO HOO!!

I pre-ordered Thursday 5-14 in the evening, the night of the announcement if I remember correctly.  I received my email confirmation at 9:17PM Pacific time.

You guys, including Burt are making me envious; So, some way or another, I will be installing some type of antenna in the attic or possibly outside the home impervious to the neighborhood gestapo association. I will try to hide it between the acorn moss covered trees: Before the Maestro comes home from Dayton.

Hoping I'll see manuals before I make final payment, as I still don't know what to expect, other than a display and knobs. I would like to see some software changes that improved a number of feature to include cw performance. :) Seems like I recall reading a number of contesting issues/improvement were being rolled into release with Maestro.

I'm sure that not everything is going to be in this first release.  I don't know if I'd have your same expectations.  The contesting is the pure ergonomics of the Maestro in conjunction with a laptop or other computer with your logging software (N1MM or others).  This in itself will reduce the workload of the contester.   I'm sure there are a few easter-eggs to be announced that we don't know about yet.

Those sound like smart SDR changes more than anything particular the the Maestro but I'm sure we will see more than just Maestro specific stuff with the release. The quick start guide is up in the DL section. Not a full manual tho

David, Today I noticed that ML and S had some options available on their website. Nothing like this on W&S though (my deposit is with W&S!). I know what you mean though...when I had Elecraft stuff I bought almist all of it direct from California :-)

All I received was a noticed that some relative in England left me a Million dollars. All I have to do is send $1,500.00 to process the paperwork. I sure hope Flex who's had my final check payment for 2 weeks hasn't forgot me. Where's Burt when you need him?

I didn't order this quality product. Last September I offered to pay the deposit if  I didn't have to take delivery until April, they did not agree. Now that the price is $200 higher I won't pay it. Obviously the new price is fair as it is very popular.

When I upgraded to the 6500 from the 5000 I chose the 6500/Maestro option. Do I have to reorder.

No, you do not.  Just drop a note to sales (sales@flexradio.com) and request your Maestro order number to confirm your pre-order status.

I ordered mine 6/25/15 and have not heard anything yet.........but still checking and checking and checking etc....  I need to change addresses to where to ship it to however.  Hoping to use mine mobile.  The missing link to my new mobile system is the Maestro.  It will control the Flex 6300 in the trunk connected to an Ameritron ALS500 on my summer drive to California with my doggie.

my email came in at 6pm est, i ordered first thing at Dayton last year, i was the one with the 4K youtube video posted that weekend. I see there is an optional battery but cannot find much details about it, for me at least the pdf file downloads are not working from the flex site. The option is also not listed when i follow through on the email about options. Did i miss something somewhere from one of the updates in email?

Almost but not quite. It would have been great. The amazon one is a 16,100mAh but it it 5.89 inches, 3.23 inches, 0.77 inches

Remember the connector, when inserted it may NOT be flush, and that will add to size.

Is that an amazon basics one? I would buy it and sacrifice part of the case to make it fit. I am already looking at lipo flat cells and a circuit to maybe make a 20,000 mah pack. Just have to find a small enough module that will charge and do 2.5 amps

Wow!
I managed to pay for my Maestro in a record setting time.
Mat at FRS left me with an empty wallet in a matter of  2 minutes or less: That's including giving him my Amex card and verifying my new address.
I am happy to see that they have a product that will be setting DX records in the upcoming years.

I ordered on 15 May at 12:00 GMT and received the invoicing email today at 23:30GMT. I had sent in a check to cover final payment several months back but had $20 for shipping. The invoicing system took everything into account. 
The FRS email does estimate shipping in 2 weeks. One can imagine if your later on the list the timeline stretching out a bit. No big deal to me at the 6500 is keeping me busy.

Update:

I received the invoice yesterday 4/26/16 at 3:02PM PDT.  I had neglected to complete the accessories survey so did that about 4PM PDT and received an updated invoice this morning at 7:36AM PDT.

The process seems to be working well.  Paid and anxiously awaiting.

This is an update to my previous post.
I received a pleasant email from the order department with a link to my invoice.  The invoice was exactly as I had wanted and described my responses to the previous questionnaire.  One more click took me to the payment site, all properly https connections I might add.

Does this means you get the options that you selected on the questionnaire? I would think I should be able to add or remove options at the time of payment.

There may have been an option to edit but I don't remember.  The two items I asked for were listed correctly.   I decided on the tilt feet and an adapter to use the Flex 6000 microphone with the Maestro.  The process was very easy with just a couple of clicks and the processing was very responsive.

I placed my order May 14.

Yes, you will be able to add or remove any options at the time you finalize your Maestro order.  The intent of the questionnaire is to determine sufficient stock levels.

I just spoke with Katie, who is processing the invoices.  She says that she sends the Accessory Survey link with every invoice so you can complete the survey at that time if you wish to add accessories.  She will then send a new invoice to include the added items.  That means you can add or delete items prior to payment.

More curious than any need to know - which style has FRS adopted for the plural of Maestro?

Borrow words can be such a bother... Maestros, or Maestri?  Or even Maestra if you consider them feminine!

Maestros.  I believe the rules for the plural of a Latin or Greek root word is that it has to end in "us" to get an "i" as the plural form.

Maestro is Italian for "master".
