I am really enjoying my Flex 6300 with v1.5 ... enough so that I want to order pre-order a Maestro. I would like to use the Maestro in the shack, at the radio, and use it as a rich man's FlexControl making use of the tuning knobs. That is, will the Flex display at the computer mimic what I see on the Maestro? Vice versa? 73's ... W7NGA  dan

In our vernacular, what you are asking about is features we call "multi client" and "SmartSDR control."  In multi-client, more than one display device can connect to the radio and the same time and show panadapters.  We expect to add this capability in 2016.  Incidentally, the radio and software was designed to do this from the start, but we removed much of the code to simplify coding in the short-term.  We will be adding this functionality back in the future.

With the "SmartSDR control" feature, you will be able to use Maestro as a control surface for SmartSDR.  We will likely put other information in the display of Maestro rather than a smaller copy of the panadapter shown in SmartSDR -- why duplicate it?  Instead we may show more control information readily available in the touch screen, but this is still up for discussion.

So I think the answer is that "yes" you will get most of what you're asking for, just not on DAY #1.
