I just got the Maestro, and I want to connect it to Ham Radio Deluxe for automatic logging. The pc with the HRD, the 6300, and the Maestro is connected to the same LAN via a 100 Mbit/s Ethernet switch. I the manual or anywhere else I can't find any information about how to connect the Maestro.

What do I have to do?

Install SmartSDR on the PC which will install SmartSDR CAT plus SmartSDR DAX (if you want to run DM780 for digital modes). Make sure SmartSDR CAT is running on the PC.

Download and install the latest version of DDUtil from http://k5fr.com/DDUtilV3wiki/index.php?title=Download

Click on Download V3.

Install DDUtil and once installed from main DDUtil page click Setup and Open Setup Page. Click Signature under radio select. Under HRD Apps section click 6.2 and enable (if you are running latest HRD).

Now once DDUtil is running it should track radio frequency and mode. You can now launch HRD logbook and DM780 without the need to run the main HRD program. The main HRD program tends to bog down the CPU on slower PCs.
