1.1.3 looks great!  Being a 95% CW type, I love the APF fixes. Looking forward to seeing if the noise floor issue is fixed too.   And finally, thanks to the display mod I'll never forget what my callsign is...!! LOL!

So far my favorite feature is the display averaging changes, allowing us to pick between weighted peak averaging is awesome.  Leaving it off is easier on the eyes, but when I'm looking for signals down in the noise, it helps to turn it on.  Very cool feature.

I am extremely happy with the 1.1.3 release.

First thing is that I am very impressed that Flex responded so quickly to our concerns.  Kudos to the Flex gang and a big THANK YOU for listening.

The switch selectable averaging is just flat awesome.  I echo Robbie's comments, and it really is much easier on the eyes...relaxing almost!  Tune steps being adjustable are a very welcome feature.

Removing the passband shakes when adjusting it via the mouse is also very nice.  Scrolling with the flexcontrol is much better, but still has a tendency to "keep going" once I've stopped spinning the wheel.  I'm starting to wonder if this could be related to my not-very-good video card?

At any rate, top job and keep it up!

Maybe.  I suspect that the FIFO buffer for the FlexControl com port is filling up with commands when you rotate the knob quickly (spin).  You may try reducing the size of the FlexControl comport FIFO buffer and see if that makes a difference.
How to Mitigate FlexControl Latency

Also, USB devices that share the same controller, especially if they are USB 1.0 low bandwidth devices can adversely affect the data throughput performance of a device that is trying to stream commands, so moving the FlexControl to another port has also shown to provide improvement in this area.

And in closing...
We have seen in support where PCs that are running moderate to high CPU loads or VMs without adequate CPU allocation will be a result of laggy FlexControl performance.

Tim,

I only the the "buffer full" feeling when the slice hits the edge of the panadapter.  When it's not scrolling the panadapter, it works just fine.

I will definitely try the article you linked to when I get home and see if that helps.  Not sure if the knob is sharing a port, but I'll check that too.
