Losing DAX....router problem?

I'm having all kinds of problems today with my 6500 & DM-780.  It seems every time I change profiles, I lose DAX and or connection with the radio and have to to a cold boot of both the radio and the computer to get it back.  I THINK, it may be a problem with my router changing the address.  Can someone please explain how to set a static IP address in a Netgear WNDR3400v3 router?  When I go into the router management software I'm getting the following:

IP for the Flex, currently 192.168.1.8
MAC address shown as 84:7E:40:F2:DA:F8

The fields that need to be set in the Netgear software are:
Route Name:
Destination IP Address:
IP: Subnet Mask
Gateway IP Address:
Metric:

What should I be putting in each field to assign a static IP?

Address Reservation
When you specify a reserved IP address for a computer on the LAN, that computer always
receives the same IP address each time it ac
cesses the router’s DHCP server. Reserved IP
addresses should be assigned to computers or se
rvers that require permanent IP settings.

To reserve an IP address:
1.
In the Address Reservation section of the screen, click the
Add
button.
2.
In the IP Address field, type the IP address to assign to the computer or server. (Choose an
IP address from the router’s LAN subnet, such as 192.168.1.x.)
3.
Type the MAC address of the computer or server.
Tip:
If the computer is already on your
network, you can copy its MAC
address from the Attached Devices screen and paste it here.
4.
Click
Apply
to enter the reserved address into the table.
The reserved address is not assigned until the next time the computer contacts the
router’s DHCP server. Reboot the computer or access its IP configuration and force a
DHCP release and renew.
To edit or delete a reserved address entry, select the radio button next to the reserved
address you want to edit or delete. Then click
Edit

Delete

Why do you think it has anything to do with a static IP address? I, not only don't have a static ip address for the radio, I don't reserve one. It's important to reserve an address in connection with wireless access control but I suspect you aren't connecting the flex 6500 through a wireless dongle.

You mentioned in your title losing DAX. That problem has nothing to do with IP addresses as far as I can tell. I do recall Dudley once told me to reboot the world (a very common remedy with Windows stretching back to DOS and conflicting IRQs but I found a little trick that seems to work wonders and is WAY quicker than rebooting the world.
1) open your DAX Console, chances are the channel you selected is inactive showing no audio.
2) deslect the channel
3) select another channel
4) toggle it back to the first one

In other words I generally use channel 1. When I go into the DAX console channel 1 shows no activity, I toggle between channels 1 and two a couple of times and channel 1 then becomes active.
