Can anyone point me to a good detailed post or information to hooking up my new to me Flex 3000 to digital modes. I currently am receiving JT65 fine Just have trouble getting my PTT to work correctly.
I am using WSJT-X and VAC. Do I need to be using the Cat control in addition to PTT?
Again-- I am receiving fine, just not transmitting.
Only options on the Flex for PTT com ports are 1 and 3 (3 appears to be used for something)
I have set the port on the flex's PTT to com 1 and matched it to WSJT's PTT com 1. Not sure about DTR or RTS-- I think I have tried about every combination and still nothing will key up the flex.
At this time I prefer not to use HRD in the mix of things if not needed.
Again--I have not activated any cat controls
I can take a screen shot and post it here if anyone would like to see what I got going on.
Thank You,
Larry

I have it all set up on my end, F3K to HRD to WSJTX.
Email me if I can help. Do you have Skype?

Larry,
I would suggest that you get CAT to work for freqeuncy control and then select 'PTT via CAT' in the WSJT-X setup..

Thank you for the replies--- I found this information from GM4FVM at http://gm4fvm.blogspot.com/2015/04/flex-1500-and-data-modes-psk-wspr-jt65.html
I followed it exactly at he outlined it and bing go it's working great.
I also asked Ernest W4EG for his write up from a few years ago.
Thanks All
