My understanding is you cannot transfer a v2 license from one radio to another, if you want v2 on the 6300 you will have to buy it. The license if for the radio, not the person. The good news is that the resale of each is $200 more with v2 than without.

The answer is no.  SmartSDR is licensed to a particular radio and it is not transferable to a different radio.

Tim, I sold my 6500 which has 2.x on it.   I understand the license is for the radio.  How can I transfer the Smartlink login to his email?

What you are referring to is the SmartLink setup.  All he needs to do is create a SmartLink account (login) and then associate the radio to his account.
