Uninstall all version the restart and reinstall usually solves similar problems.

Bad as in how.... whats it gonna hurt?

Saying that wont fix it.... yea ok.... but unless its gonna hurt something it cant be bad.

Tony - do you have a FlexControl connected to your PC?  I suspect you do.


If my assumption is correct, use this article and set the FLexCOntrol com port number to one that is very high, like between 240 and 250.  Once you do this, do not change the USB port the FlexControl is connected to, as this will change your com port number assignment.

Done that Tim,works for a couple of hours and then get message again,tried 6 different port numbers that are not being used,and it keeps doing it.

Also the bits per second keep changing value

You may need to clear the "in use" (reservation flag) on com ports that are not actually in use, but are flagged as such.  Try this procedure:

BTW, the bug in the FlexVSP driver appears to be fixed.  We are testing a new version of the driver and if it checks out OK, it will be in the next SmartSDR software release (1.x and 2.x)
