Took advantage of the fact that my radio decided to decode FT8 this morning and was lucky enough to get the Matsu Island (AS-113) Expedition BO0M on the first try on 20 meters.

They're still on 20 if you need them. DX News says they'll only be there for 2 days

Thanks Pat, glad to see your radio seems to be working.  Was it the missing update?

No. It's still failing intermittently including just a few minutes ago.

The update does seem to have a measure of improvement with the decoding duration sometimes lasting for many hours before it fails. It's completely random and unpredictable

I know your using software to hold the time on your computer. I can't help wonder if it is at all possible for your time missing time sometimes, 10 seconds? or so without you knowing it?

Check under task manager to see what programs are up and running
and try disabling programs not necessary, except when you need them.
They can be looking for updates and other things that can slow or cause
hiccups, when you least expect or want that. It sounds like everything else
is in order. Interrupts and such by Windows or other software can be a pain.
Then again, maybe you already checked those areas.

I am seeing the West coast working him.
Possibly the East coast will have a crack at it tonight.
Thanks Pat -
I will be on this weekend, give points only.

I'm in upstate New York 1 mile from Lake Ontario. He was giving me a -21. He had just come on so I got him before everyone else started calling him.
