K9DUR SDRMemory6K Problem with CWU

I have been using the wonderful K9DUR SDRMemory6K program successfully for months with v1.3.8.  After upgrading to v1.4, I found that using my previously created buttons for CWU would place my 6500 into the CWL mode.  I tried deleting the old buttons and creating new buttons with the 6500 in the CWU mode, but selecting the newly created button would still place the 6500 into the CWL mode.

I uninstalled all SDR software and K9DUR software and did a clean install of both from scratch. Creating a new button with the 6500 in the CWU mode, however, still puts the 6500 into the CWL mode when the button is selected.

His software is so good I'm thinking it must be operator error.  Is anyone else having this CWL problem with the K9DUR SDRMemory6K software?

BTW, when not using SDRMemory6K to change bands, the 6500 stays in the preferred CWU mode where I put it, even after powering down and rebooting, so the radio is functioning properly in the stand-alone mode.
