It's all Howard's fault!

So for two years I've been hearing Howard, KY6LA spinning stories about operating remote from all over the world with his iPad.  For Christmas, my sweet MIL gave me a check that just about covered the purchase, so yesterday I came home with a new iPad Air2, and this morning downloaded the K6TU Remote app from the Apple Store.  Since I've never owned a Mac or iPad it took me a half-hour or so to get it going, but suddenly, there I am in my easy chair in the living room having a very nice QSO with a guy in NY on 10m...no headset, nothing but the onboard mic and speakers in the iPad.  Now I've got to figure out how to set up a VPN so I can do it from Alabama while we're down there for a week in January and bite my nails until Stu gets CWX added so I can work my favorite mode.  More work...and it's all Howard's fault!!  HNY, Howard and thanks!

Rick:

If you have the Apple ear buds with mike ($29) they work great or even better a good Bluetooth headset gives you real freedom to walk around while talking.

VPN--  SoftEther is free and very easy to set up....
Enjoy the fun of being able to play Ham Radio from anywhere in the World...
I know I do....
