ISO iPad advice

I'm thinking of acquiring my first iPad, since Santa didn't see fit to bring one.  For size & budgetary reasons it will need to be an Air II.  What is the minimum configuration necessary for running the K6TU remote app?  I looking at a WiFi only version, as I already have an AT&T LTE HotSpot we carry when we travel.

iPad Air II works great with K6TU. I. Also have a iPad Pro which is better, and an older 4th Generation iPad which works almost OK. I use both Hotspots and LTE ...not much visible difference albeit LTE alone can be a bit faster than thru a hotspot. Hotel and Free Airport WiFi usually sucks. So I tend to prefer LTE over most Hotel Wifi.

All iPad Air2s will run the remote app, they all have identical processing power.

I strongly recommend against the 16GB model however. Even if you don't think you're going to use it for much more than the K6TU app, there are lots of other things you may find are handy. Also the 16GB model can make iOS updates difficult.

Something else to consider, if you feel comfortable with Craigslist, there are often pretty good deals on iPads there.

If you do buy one used, make absolutely certain before you hand over money that the iPad shows up as clean on https://www.icloud.com/activationlock/ .

BTW I totally agree the16GB model is not a good idea.

Thanks, Howard & 'MW.  I was guessing I'd need more than the 16GB.  Thanks for confirming it.

It is interesting that the iPad Air 2 has a higher overall Passmark rating than the newer iPad Pro.  Looking at only the CPU benchmark the Pro benchmarks significantly faster.  Like Howard, I have a 4th Gen, an Air 2 and a Pro.  The Air 2 and Pro are both fine for K6TU Remote.

Mine are the "+ Cellular Data" versions.  The iPad Pro only comes in a 128 GB version if the cellular data option is selected.
