Is there a way to go directly to the last post on a item?

Now that the community has been arround several years and we keep seeing old threads poping back up when someone makes a comment on a old thread. Some of these threads are several pages and you have to go to the bottom Of the first page to move to the end. If you have been following this thread for a long time you have read all the previous post. So I wondered could we get a button at the start of the thread which takes you to the most recent post/last post. It might be there and I just over looked.

It's not at all intuitive. I asked the same question.

Yes, it might be a nice feature to suggest to the GetSatisfaction crew to gray-out posts that you have already seen (they can't tell if you read it). On a long post it would automatically scroll down to the first unread post and have some indication that more unread posts exist further down.

The system we are using now is cleaner than most, but there will always be room for improvement.

Robert is correct....clicking on the "last reply: _______________" line gets you to the last post.  Unfortunately, if there were several recent posts to the thread in response to multiple comments you will still miss the three previous ones and only read the last one.  The format of the forum makes for a multi-branched tree, often with many different sub-branch discussions.  To find new growth on side-branches other than the main trunk, I must look at my email reminders on posts I am following.  I scan them quickly and see if I want to respond to them.  If so, I hit the blue [REPLY] button imbedded in the email notification and it takes me to the post it refers to.

I haven't found a better way, yet.  In any case, it is much better than the older style of forum where every post also contained the whole sub thread that it addressed, making for a complicated, voluminous mess of commented threads.....

As Ken just mentioned, there isn't a sort into chronological sequence option in the Get Satisfaction software. A workaround is to have the website email notify you of any activity. Then filter those notifications into a folder in your email client, you will then be able to sort/search/read them in any order you wish. If you really want to get satisfaction, then don't rely solely on Get Satisfaction.

That's why I was suggesting that if forum members were conscientious about posting to the bottom we, as forum users, could mitigate the problem without waiting on Sprinklr.

I can't believe it.   I had no idea I could click on the last post and go directly to it.   THANK YOU!

It is an active hyperlink in that one's cursor changes when over it and the colour of the text changes too.  Didn't you think of clicking on it out of sheer curiosity, LOL? That is how I found this 'get to last post' trick out.

Then there's the "View Previous" feature which should really be thought of as the Hide Previous feature.

Tim, wouldn't they listen more to those that pay the $$ rather than those who just use it?

As I said I might have just overlooked it and it appears I was not by myself! Thank you all who responded to my question. I used it to make this post!
