Quick praise for the 6500 and SSDR for iOS. Just worked VP6J from my desk at work. Two calls. CWX.
Too cool for words, so here's a photo!
Other end runs to a dipole at 25 feet.

Bravo George! Please I have 2 questions:
- is the iPad Air 2 a good device for working with SmartSDR for iOS, or it could be better to get the iPad Pro?
- is the gap/timing between letters OK when sending macros with CWX? (I meet some issues with dogparkSDR on this focus).
Thanks Jean-Luc / F5JRC

Jean-Luc, I also have both, in the same size. The Pro is smoother operating, but both work well. Regarding CWX, I haven't had any problems, except due to network congestion/signal.

Thanks George, thanks Howard!
@George: I read your post about Sound Siphon (I purchased it) and WSJT, this configuration works really well! Except I don't know how you manage the PTT with JT-Bridge, and fldigi doesn't want lo launch anymore on my MacBook air, but it's an other story :-)
@Howard: I go to Paris time to time for business (I am not very far, located between Paris and Reims closed to A4 motorway), and could be great to meet you!

I just worked him with my homebrew 6AG7 Colpitts oscillator driving an 807 tube. 38 watts. Cathode keying. Collins R-390A circa 1955 receiver. Antenna 80' wire from Home Depot. Vibroplex Blue Racer from the year I was born. Exciting ...

Wish the heck I could get an opening to Iowa on 12m. I've got him on 17 & 20, but really would like to get him on 12 for #125. The Maestro is sitting on 24.904 as I type... Danged' solar storms!
