Interfacing a 3rd-party panadapter program with Flex 6000 series radio

I have a separate RX station that uses an SDRPlay RSP2 with a W6LVP mag loop rx antenna and I would like to interface the PC panadapter software SDRuno using SmartSDR-CAT.  (T/R switching and rx muting is already worked out) The integration is just for synching the band, freq, and mode.  I find the waveform and waterfall processing in SDRUno to be highly advanced and desirable, so I would like to display the Flex SmartSDR panadapter on one display and SDRUno on another. To sync SDRUno with any radio, it happens to use OMNIRIG to pass the CAT commands to / from the radio.  For Flex radio, I assume I will be creating a CAT port of protocol "CAT" and port type "Serial" and either "FlexVSP" or "Existing"? (not sure which yet).  And VFO Slice set to "A". And Auto TX Slice set to "Enabled".  Question:  Am I on the right track here?  I am very new as I just purchased a 6400 a few days ago.  But I am already deep into the manuals.  Thanks in advance!  Dan WA1QZX
